Solar Energy Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Actionuity team to develop and finalize the grant application in response to the DOEE's Request for Partners (RFP).

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of solar energy projects that align with the grant's objectives and DOEE's clean energy goals.

  • Identify suitable partner organizations and stakeholders for the grant application, fostering relationships and building collaborations.

  • Ensure compliance with the requirements outlined in the U.S. EPA Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) EPA-R-HQ-SFA-23-01 and the District of Columbia's Clean Energy Plan.

  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all deliverables are met within established parameters.

  • Manage grant-related administrative tasks, reporting, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely submission.

  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and achievements to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with local communities, low-income households, and disadvantaged groups to ensure that solar energy projects effectively meet their needs and deliver long-term benefits.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, policies, and best practices related to solar energy and environmental sustainability.

Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar energy.

  • Strong understanding of greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies and clean energy initiatives.

  • Excellent knowledge of federal grant application processes and requirements, particularly in relation to environmental and energy-related grants.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, including planning, execution, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and community members.

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as project management software and data analysis tools.

  • Demonstrated passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to advancing clean energy solutions.

  • Experience working within Washington, D.C.'s regulatory environment and familiarity with the District's Clean Energy Plan is a plus
